What are the opinions on the values of the 992.2 GTS T-Hybrid? I know reviews have been mixed and it's a new concept, I wonder will it ever be a well loved variation? I can certainly see the appeal in the outright performance figures.

But 18 month old £160K new cars are now at £120k retail, 2026 £158k models with 2000 miles are £125k so £35-40k loss in values. And what will you be offered as trade in? Is this acceptable? Is anyone buying new at full price or are dealers knocking off at least 10% to generate interest?

What is going on, they just seems massively overpriced starting at £144K before options.

...and watch 992 values tank further when the new 911 comes out perhaps end of next year.

They are too much.

I got c10% off list earlier this year.

They are a great car though. I came out of a 992.1 C2S, but the 992.2 GTS is a real step up.

The ride is better, the performance is mental and it's actually easier to drive smoothly at low speeds.

When the 992.2 was launched, it was intimated that it would be in production for 4 years

Stick some reg numbers into WBAC or Motorway, that'll give you a sense of trade bids right now.

If you want to see what future 'worst-case' values might look like... on the Porsche approved used car listing hit the finance option and look at what the final payments are after 2/3/4 years, these are the values PFS are underwriting, and they won't be far off.

It’s a weapon and probably more 911 than anyone needs. As fast as a 992.1 Turbo, but more discreet? The VAT was always going to smart and then the hybrid effect still nibbles at values. Can see one for £100k being quite a sensible buy for 3-4yrs inside warranty obvs …

I don't want to sound like I'm talking down the GTS, it's a very accomplished car and you could argue with the performance on offer it is a used bargain compared to the new Turbo S but the values seem all over the place and are now crossing over with the .1.

2000 mile cars which are already £35-40k off list.

A webuyanycar entry is good advice so you know the real value before you are considering buying.

Enquiring about a new turbo I was told 20k off a new car (gts) but this was stock coming in ,not to my spec .
They are overpriced and the market reflects that .

The GTS is usually the sweet spot, but I've seen these sitting in showrooms specc'd up nearing £200K and I have to ask myself who is buying that at that value. The reality is they're being discounted and the values are dropping, I suspect people who would usually buy a GTS want pure ICE and the car is just too good and compliant now.

How do values compare to ICE variants in terms of depreciation by % loss, that will show if it's similar, better or worse.

Given Porsche have said they'll be a 20% hike in prices which I assume will only happen when the .2 gets replaced then I'm guessing this will slow depreciation between now and the next generation, and then possibly level off, or increase once the replacement higher priced car is launched.

Value going forward may be supported by Porsches statement they are reducing production numbers and increasing cost of new cars over next 5 years. The inflation that Porsche has applied to the 911 over the last 5-10 years definitely hurts. If I were in the market for a car at that price I would probably go for a 992.1 Turbo rather than the GTS. Either way I don’t think you can go far wrong. Just sold my 991.2 GTS after 8 years of ownership and 50k miles. Great car and got back over 60% of the price when new. I would definitely get another 911.

And in addition to the ever dropping gen 2 prices, Gen 1 prices are firming up.

The issue is quite simple. Hybrid tech. It’s great but won’t correlate to good residuals as can be seen by the wider market.

Can you start to imagine the repair costs when you of warranty…..

Those values are shocking, I know WBAC won't take into account options but we are talking approx £40k-50k depreciation in year 1 if purchased at full price like many would have when it came out 2 years ago.

There is the 2026 guards red one which has been recently reduced again to £125k, a £158,000 car new, 6 months old, 2000 miles.

WBAC offering £98000.

had a look at autotrader after you said that, your right

its looks as if the gen 1 will worth more used than gen 2 shortly.

The GTS normally has its own niche, but this is encroaching on super car territory. The extra performance over the .1 doesn’t really achieve much on the road, but you’d go GT3 for track.

The hybrid opposition are the Artura for similar money or the 296 for a bit more. Both of these are supercars.

Perhaps the GTS niche has had its day.
