Centerlock 'refurb'

Didn't want to buy a bunch of new centerlocks so restored them aesthetically with rubberised paint & a heavy duty decal.

Will probably upset the purists but think it came out ok?

That looks quite good. Did you strip them first ( and if so how?) or “just” clean them off. What was the rubberised paint?

Just cleaned thoroughly, then a wipe of rubbing alcohol where the decal adheres to get rid of any unwanted residue.

Used Plastidip, sprayed on with a mask to fit around the 'spline' and over the centre cap. My thinking is if the "paint" is damaged in the process of removing the wheel at some point, it's easy enough to touch it up again.

The lettering is all printed on the decal. I'm fairly handy with Photoshop so recreated it using an open source font and careful measuring to get the proportions right.
