Hi All
I have a creaking sound coming from the front drivers side. it appears to be from under the dashboard.

I am sure some people have had this idea.

I have read it may be front shocks (tired or dried - the car has only done 15K and is a 2012 car). The other option I have read about is the pads around the fuel tank. The car is under Porsche warranty so it should be covered. Anyone who has experience of this would helpful. I like walking into Porsche somewhat informed.

Thanks All

Control arm bushes, top mounts, or ARB bushes most likely and I doubt any of these are covered under warranty. And hard to assess while on the car. If you live near these guys they will find and fix it first time. https://centergravity.co.uk

One trick is spray suspect area with penetrating oil. This won't fix anything for more than a week or two but can help identify one of many possible culprits.

Thanks for the information. I will book in with Porsche and let’s see what they say. At least I have a well respected garage to go to if Porsche don’t fix it under warranty.

If the noise appears to come from infront of dash cluster, there is a long bolt that can come loose.
This bolt is accessed from front boot, remove large plastic cover, look past the wiper motor, and you will see a Torx headed bolt, check and tighten.

There is a technical bulletin on this.

Dash creaks will be be down to dry or worn U-joints in the steering shaft, which can emit a creaking/groaning noise that seems like it’s inside the car.
