Searching for the 28 RHD 996.1 Clubsports
Discussion
I know this has been attempted before over the years but I am trying to put together a definitive list of the 28 RHD C16 Clubsports and would appreciate any assistance you can give.
To date we have 18 cars on the database in various degrees of completeness. For some we have all the information and for others just an old sales advert , for example, that provides enough detail to identify it but not the full details.
So if you own one of the cars or know someone who does then we would love to hear from you .
We own one of the 28 which was put into storage by the previous owner for a number of years and I am now conducting a thorough overhaul of all systems and using the car throughout the summer - back on the road where it belongs!
These are such rare and important cars that one day the wider Porsche fraternity will wake up to the fact that they need to be documented and take their place in Porsche history.
I have owned a number of road and track cars over the last 45years but the Clubsport is the best car I have ever owned. A Joy to drive!
Looking forward to seeing how many are still out there.

I know the location of a Speed Yellow (Non-Manthey modified) C16 ClubSport here in Cheshire. We were always lead to believe there were only 3 x SY cars, and I believe the other two are K410 (?) modified.
I believe one of the other SY cars changed hands recently and could possibly be in Ireland now?

Thanks for this …..Yes, we have 3 SY cars on the list and some details about the two K400 cars and the owners but all I have for this other car is the fact that it exists and a first name of the possible owner, so if you can get the current owner to contact us that would be great . I owned a couple ... very special cars ... one bought in Scotland required quite a bit of work even though it was only just outside Porsche extended warranty ...

The other was a very low mileage silver car with full documentation ...
Thanks for the pics . I am aware of the Zanzibar car and the previous owner just looking for the current one .

Alex who runs the PCGB GT3 section has a silver one.
He's had it for years and it's well used, I think he was at Spa last summer in it.
Contactable through PCGB.

Thanks ! I have spoken to Alex and just given him a short article for Porsche post to see if we can get some more owners to come forward from PCGB.He's had it for years and it's well used, I think he was at Spa last summer in it.

I have one of the SY Manthey K400 ones up in Aberdeen, it was actually originally bought from the Aberdeen OPC back in 1998, but later spent most of it's life 'down south' I believe. Current reg no K400 CS courtesy of a nice gent on this thread
I met up with another SY K400, it was in NI but back in mainland UK again I believe, and a blue CS last year for a Scottish Highland tour last April, along with 2 other 996.1 cars, a brilliant trip.
