Speccing new Porsches is very expensive. I configured a new Carrera T and GTS to £130 and £170. I would never order these cars now at that price because there are too many better pre owned options for similar or less money.

I have seen now a lot of cars advertised wither brand new stock or some money off. Are we now at a stage where we will be expecting money off Porsches? Will dealers be fighting for your business? I understand GT cars will be different.

Anyone recently had money off or heard of discounts?

My OPC has contact me to say that they are willing to "do a deal" on new order / my spec, commenting this would be competitive to any pre reg cars that are currently on the market on AT. I spoke to another dealer recently said that they would be willing to sit down and talk about a discount. Seems like there are options. Now I don't know the level of discount yet but looking at what is currently for sale maybe 5-7%?? Would hope for 10% but might this might be a pipe dream! Should add this was on a 911, I suspect the level of discount might differ between models.

I think discounts will be available but how much I don't know. I would think 10% would be reasonable. Reading between the lines I think Porsche dealers will face difficult times but I understand everything is relative. I was told orders for the "old" petrol Macan will stop this year and 911's are way too expensive. Electric sales have slowed. I have been offered GT4RS and Spyder RS so where are the queue of buyers for them?

yes, discounts are available. i've been offered up to 12% off a new order, but most dealers offer between 8-10%. alot more is available off pre reg cars. i've seen cars with between 15-18% off.

macan is a difficult one to get much of a discount on as they arent building many at the moment, so the few that are coming through are selling quite quickly.

whilst there was talk of sales ending this year, with porsche now commited to ice for the foreseeable future, i think they will start ramping up production again.

It is with much regret that we have decided to postpone our 4th edition of Salon Privé London to April 2026, with market conditions and lack of exhibitor appetite being the principal reasons. We simply couldn’t open the event without a lawn full of the latest supercars, hypercars, luxury brands and boats for you all to browse and enjoy.

gts and t. they offered a few percent off carrera s, but said as it was newly launched there was big demand for it rolleyes

watch those start piling up in compounds as soon as they arrive!

nothing is offered off the standard carrera as apparently if you order a new one, you are going to have to wait 6-9 months. they have have lots of new ones sat around so are trying to shift those before they fulfil any new orders and trying to create a false sense of demand on them rofl

Trade shows cost big money.

The boat market is pulling away from shows and exhibitor numbers are down.

There are many ways of selling things and shows are amongst the most expensive. To the basic cost add accommodation, entertaining etc.

My ‘discount’ history.
Boxster 2014. No discount. Free Porsche jacket, worth about £150.
718 Cayman 2016. 5% discount. Free car care kit worth about £80.
718 Cayman T 2019. 5% discount. Free thermos worth about £45.
718 GT4. No discount. No freebies.
911 Carrera T 2023. Can remember if the discount was 5% or 7%. No freebies - although the OPC stumped up £200 for a meal for us as they cocked-up the hand over.

Called in my local OPC, they had a Carerra in crazy money! Casual discussion with salesman indicated if seriously interested a deal could be done but a long order period and no doubt a price rise. Actually liked the car but shudder to think what the cost to change would be!

Part of the disconnect of the current administration, aside from having literally no idea how most of the private sector actually creates GDP, is the lack of worldliness to understand quite how much global competition there is for HNW individuals and, how portable true HNW actually is. Mobility is one of the defining factors of real wealth.

Same. I would if I could.

Back to cars, I suppose it's model sensitive. Bet you can get a good deal on a Taycan...
