991.2 - PCM Update

I recently noticed that traffic updates were not showing, my Porsche connect subscription has recently renewed and all other ‘live’ services are working.
When I was booking car in for service I was told it needs a pcm update by an OPC. I can’t get a useful explanation as to why, but seems to be a conflict between not having lifetime update for maps & some recent over the air updates.
If this is right many others would have same issue, but struggling to find anything on usual forums. Has anyone had the OPC update yet & does it fix it?
