New 911 launch

A very clever use of Hybrid ... 400v electric turbocharger delivering over 100 ft lbs from tick-over, adding 50+ bhp electric drive from the 1.9 kWh battery whilst also driving power hungry accessories such as aircon ... all for a 50KG weight penalty.

Agreed, Porsche doing what Porsche do, some clever engineering. I don't mind saying the whole offering inc visuals etc of the 992.2 leave me stone cold.Edited by ChrisW. on Tuesday 28th May 15:24

I'm going to be pleading with SWMBO tonight..
The GTS indeed now has teeth as stated earlier. My humble skills wouldn't need more than 530 Bhp and 0-62 in sub 3.0...
Goes back to the configurator....
what about 992.1 Turbo? a slot with discount must be very close to specced new GTS without all the hybrid gubbins and quicker and more torqueThe GTS indeed now has teeth as stated earlier. My humble skills wouldn't need more than 530 Bhp and 0-62 in sub 3.0...

Regeneration via brakes and turbo heat management, a mortal wouldn't really empty the battery.
Think the ring attempt depleted the battery after 7:17.00!
Was mentioned by the Engineer on the Savagegeese video
The 991.2 GTS managed a 7.23, but I guess progress is gradual. Think the ring attempt depleted the battery after 7:17.00!

The top gear video suggested that there is no regen from braking. Makes sense as a lot of extra gubbins would have been required. Maybe it’s a beefed up alternator.
