992 Turbo S cab - sports suspension
Discussion
It increases the spring rates, so it'll be firmer all the time in all modes relative to the 'normal' suspension option.
Many people love it many don't, depends on your usage and expectations. If you want the absolute sharpest handling for weekend drives or trackdays get it, if you want a better ride for daily use or long-distance touring don't.
Probably best to try both if you can, but being a Cabrio would suggest the more comfortable option.

Many thanks. The use will be mainly touring, with occasional spirited driving days. Maybe the odd track day. My first thought was to avoid the sports suspension -10mm option. The car has PDCC as standard which I guess keeps the car pretty flat. But then I got offered the chance of a great spec car with many of the options I would ideally like, but also with the sports suspension fitted. Hence the query. Ideally will try to drive both versions, but will probably keep looking for a non sports suspension car.
My old man had Sports suspension on his coupe, I thought the ride was absolutely fine.
I'd probably still choose the regular setup as I tend to prioritise ride on a road car, but if you prefer the lowered look there's nothing to fear with it.
My old man has something wrong with him and so prefers a firmer sprung car; he loved it but still thought it was on the soft side.
Biggest issue I had with it was that it tended to catch even smaller speed bumps without the lift activated where I don't think the standard setup would do as much.

I bought a cab last year which didnt have the -10mm sport suspension. I couldn't live with how high of the ground it looked or how boaty it was to drive. So I bought a set of H&R lowering springs to reduce the height by 30mm and sent it to String Theory for alignment and geo. It completely transformed the car in every possible way. I highly recommend this mod.
Just goes to show how different we all are - I held out for a Turbo S Cab with standard suspension - given that 90% of them seem too have been specced with -10mm, it took a while and I turned down lots of cars. Absolutely didn't want the increased jitter that to my experience comes with the drop. Don't care about a lowered look, and there is no sense of the car being 'boaty' in spirited driving, couldn't want for more body control given that Im not tracking it. Looks like you have to make up your own mind though!
Good comments. Much appreciated. The front axle lift is a must have for us. Just think you need it for city centre multi-storey and underground car parks. Had to reverse the 488 back up the in ramp for an underground car park last year, and that does have lift. Fortunately there was nothing behind us. Ironically, there is another great spec car on offer which doesn't have the sports suspension. But nor does it have lift!

IMO You really don’t need lift on the TTS with or without the sports suspension. On my Touring, yes, but the front end design on the Turbo is such that it’s fine, especially as it has the active front spoiler.
Any idea how much lower the front of a 991.1 GT3 is to a 992 Turbo/S? A 991.1 GT3 will catch my driveway no matter how careful I am with it (even with axle lift up).I've told myself that axle lift is essential for me on a Turbo but if what you say is true then it opens up more potentials in the classifieds.
Re the front lift, I might measure it up on my next showroom visit. I guess there are 2 relevant measurements: the height of the very front lower edge of the bumper with the active spoiler retracted. And the distance from that point to the line of the front wheels. FWIW in my last visit I looked at the height of the Turbo S Cab (no sports suspension) bumper compared to a Carrera 4 GTS targa with sports design pack and sports suspension. The Turbo S cab was significantly lower. At a guess 2-3 inches lower. Not scientific I know.
