Hi,
I’ve just been inspecting my car following a successful MOT but sadly find some small but potential rust problems on the rear wheel arch lips due to stone damage. The fronts seem ok though. I don’t have access to a dry garage where I might attempt a diy so wonder if anyone knows of a reliable/trustworthy business in the Chester area who might assist?
Thanks.
Stuart.

Depends on colour of car but touching wheel arches in can be expensive.
I had the colour mixed up myself . removed the wheel arch liner Rubbed the wheel arch inner edges down, after first applying masking tape along the leading outer edge.

Then I used rust kill, a thinned down primer coat with a brush, rubbed it down with 20 /400 grade sand paper, then brush painted the inner arch metal strip with three coats.
800, 1200 and finally 2000 grade wet and dry sandpaper and patience.

A bit of G60 cutting compound and the finish was better by far than the factory with probably triple the thickness for future proofing. shines like a new boot.
