Tyre pressure sensors 992

The tyre pressure sensors on my 992S seem to constantly over-read by about 2-3 psi. I’ve checked the tyre pressure settings are correct (34 psi front; 38 psi rear) over several weeks using different tyre pressure gauges (one digital, one mechanical) so know they are correct. Has anyone else experienced this, or know of a way to recalibrate the sensors?

There should be a reset somewhere in the menu for example when you get new tyres but can’t tell you what part of menu it’s on 992

Is this after you’ve been driving it? And did you set the pressure in the cold weather?

Since it’s so cold, your pressures will increase as you drive. On my Boxster, they’re set to 33 all round but after 15 mins of driving they hit ~36.

I set tyre pressures when cold, and TPMS measurement I’m quoting is when the tyres are cold.

I’ve seen the same and have put it down to bar/psi conversion combined with rounding.

I understand the sensors actually measure in bar so easy to have it measure to nearest 0.1 bar which could then be 0.05-0.1 bar above what’s actually in the tyre.

Then the car swaps that to psi and doesn’t offer decimals so probably rounds it again. 0.1 bar 1.5psi ish so I can see that could get rounded to 2psi higher as displayed. I’ve seen it go the other way and round down, too.

On the 981, to recalibrate you select a different tyre size in the TPMS screen. Then select your tyre size again.
