991.2 - LED Headlights (PDLS) - Veneer's
Discussion
Hi
I believe the PDLS+ LED lights on my 991.2 have a coating or Veneer? There are a number of chips on them - and you can (from the top)
feel a fine coating/cover/shell.
I have XPLF PPF on my car, but opted not to get the headlights covered (stories about the PPF 'reacting' with these so called veneer's)
I've been told that these Veneer's can be replaced ?
I see there are direct replacements on the Tequipment website (LED Black PDLS+) 991 044 902 01 but at over 3K a tad expensive.
Apologies if this has been discussed prior
Regards

Depending on the condition of your lenses then the 3 options are:
1. Polishing/refinishing
2. Lens replacement
3. Complete unit replacement.
I've no experience of these repair companies, but would be interested to hear any experiences or alternatives. At around 1/4 of the cost to replace it seems more palatable.

Manufacturer's seem to have no interest in anything other than #3 and binning otherwise completely serviceable headlight units is inexcusable.
