I’ve been semi active in this forum for a while now, mostly posting photos from events. I’ve met a few of you at Oulton over the past few years but up until now I’ve not been an owner.

I started to think seriously about one around 2013. I considered a 997 but the budget wasn’t quite there yet so I bought a Mk2 Focus RS.

Luckily I was really happy with the Focus once I’d got it and wasn’t in any rush to change so I stuck with that while saving every possible penny. I wanted to keep the Focus so that restricted my budget a little.

Earlier this year I’d got to the point where I had the funds to get what I really wanted so started looking seriously. At the end of August I found the one, paid a deposit then went up to Porsche Centre Perth to collect it.

It’s a 2018. I specifically wanted a non Weissach Pack so no exhaust particulate filters. It took a while to find one with no privacy glass and without the green wheel borders, both of which I really dislike. I ideally wanted the Bose stereo and standard colour dials but they weren’t essential. This has both of those, score! The only thing it was missing was the green painted cage but I’ve since had that done.

The mileage is above average for one of these at 17k but that suits me fine as it was a fair chunk cheaper than similar spec 3-6k mile cars. Means I can use it guilt free too. I’ve already done 1500 miles, it’s very difficult to not drive it!

Wonderful ... it looks a great choice ... it is in my view one of `Porsche's best cars, all of the performance and relatively little of the over-tech!

P.S. Nice pic, anybody would think that you are a photographer smile

Bloody hell! - in at the deep end!

Congrats and hope to you see you around. Have loved the photos you've captured before of my car.

Excellent choice btw. Probably pick best overall option imo.

Dude, these are for driving, not for looking at. 17k in 5 years is nothing. Get it out there and enjoy it!
