Just took delivery of my new GT3. Got an email from the dealer offering gap insurance.

Is there any point, as surely the replacement value is higher than the purchase cost?

I wouldn't bet on it.

Give yourself a shock and ask your supplying dealer how much he would buy your new GT3 into stock for; if they would consider it, you might get a shock.

There are far too many for sale currently and with my local OPC having 4, they aren't even taking SOR GT3s currently until they move what they have.

The insurance company shall base all this current information on what they would offer in the event of a total loss.

I was considering 2 GT3s currently for sale that are both less than 500 miles both '23plates, both with the correct high spec ( buckets, ceramics etc & 1 PTS ), and both dealers desperate to do a deal at near list, which certainly means list or below list can be achieved now on used.

I'm going to wait now until December to see what happens.

If it were me, i would get GAP or agreed insurance just for piece of mind.
