992 Service costs
Discussion
I've got a 992 C2S coming up to 4 years old and it's first major service.
Has anyone had a similar service done at an OPC recently?
Just wondering what you paid?
I know I'll need to phone around a few dealers for prices but it would be handy to have some idea of cost beforehand.
Thanks in advance....

No idea on price, but if you're calling dealers I'd ask if you can supply your own oil, it'll save you quite a bit of £££ if you can.
Some dealers are open to it and I've done this a few times on other Porsches and OPC's.
I used to supply my own but Porsche put a stop to it a couple of years back. Big profit on oilSome dealers are open to it and I've done this a few times on other Porsches and OPC's.

A friend of mine just got his 8 year service discounted at Colchester down to £1179.00 from £1414.00, East London even though same dealer group quoted him £1832.00
This was for a 991.2 GTS, but still a massive difference in prices for the same work.
When it gets discounted, do you worry the work is sub standard ?This was for a 991.2 GTS, but still a massive difference in prices for the same work.

What a coincidence! Had my 992 C2S 4 year service plus MOT done at Porsche Silverstone today. Cost was an eye watering £1,700 ish. Couple of recalls done too, and super friendly service department, also included courtesy car for the day.Has anyone had a similar service done at an OPC recently?

So £2k for a service, what’s that £200-300 for parts and £1700-1800 for a couple of hours labour?
I remember it wasn’t that long ago a minor (2year) was circa £450-500 and a major (4 year) about £850
And in my experience they don’t always do what you pay for and most of the time it’s only an oil change and the rest is the apprentice with a clip board checking things like depth of tyre etc but failing to change the air filter as who is going to check especially on low miles cars!

I just had mine done and paid 1550. My friend also had his done and was 1480
The parts cost is only 400. Major cost is labour at usual crazy rate
Hope this helps.
Which OPCs was this at please? For you and your mate? The parts cost is only 400. Major cost is labour at usual crazy rate

My 992S is nearing 4 years old so I’m watching this thread with interest!
