Just picked the car up.

Cruise I can get to work but I don’t seem to be able to find out how to change the mode into speed limiter as opposed to cruise.

The manual doesn’t help at all.

Does anyone know how to change the mode to speed limit from cruise please ?

Thanks

I thought this post was going to be asking if the car is limited to 155mph. I'll keep quiet on this subject lol.

I’m not sure sure there is a physical limiter that prevents your car going above a set speed. At least, nothing appears obvious. You can set limiters in the PCM but I’ve not played about with these.

I don’t think there is an option for a physical limit to speed (like in a BMW), just an alert if you exceed the set speed.

There isn’t one unfortunately on a standard cruise equipped car. You only have a speed warning. I think you get a limiter when the adaptive cruise is specified.

A real shame as I had one on all my recent BMWs and my Audi and I really miss it as used it a lot when I’m 30 limits and average speed zones on the motorway.

Adaptive cruise only adjusts speed in relation to
traffic conditions as interpreted by the foward facing camera.
The audible speed warning is useful if set for a personal motorway limit since it’s very easy to drift into high speeds in these cars

Thanks for the replies.

The car does not have it - with given my 2019 Cayenne does is rather a miserable surprise!

I can get a chime at 50 or such like which is frankly useless!

Oh well

Surely, I can’t be the only one who thinks a speed limiter is a daft thing on a 911???

But it seems, Porsche thought so too laugh

On a related note, are the automated speed limit/warning functions coming to 911s? I’ve seen them on other cars and I thought they were required by law but I’m yet to see them on a Porsche.

In an average speed zone which are now everywhere they are very useful I don’t like cruise control. So opinions can vary !

They can be quite useful especially when on a road festooned with cameras they them on M cars and I found it useful wouldn't have minded one on my old 911 either, just press the LIM button and it won't go above the selected speed unless you plant the throttle down.

Agreed with OP it’d be useful to have.

I have noticed the cruise continues to work if you change gear in a manual car, which is clever.
