Good Day All,
Just got a 2000 C2 convertible after5 years without a Porsche.

I want to disconnect the battery but seem to remember that when I did this with my previous 2003 Targa it set an alarm off and had to carry out a special routine to reset!

Am I remembering correctly, will I have trouble with my new car?

Comments/advice greatly appreciated, cheers, David.

Key in the ignition, turn to position 1, disconnect battery, no issues.

If you do it without doing this then the alarm will go off.

Thanks for that, will I have to reset windows and re enter radio code?

I have a 98 C2 and have to re-enter the radio code on disconnecting the battery. Sometimes I have to reset the windows, but from memory only ever the driver's side (because, I guess, that's the the window that drops when you open the door to turn the ignition on before disconnecting the battery).

Both are 30 second jobs, providing you know the radio code.
