Ive had my car damaged whilst it was being test driven by a service center. Repairs are going on now. However i am concerned it will potentially devalue it as for example the near side front and rear wing need to be resprayed removing and replacing the original stone chip sheets, some panel work required also. Will another dealer pick up on this?

That would wholly depend on how well the repairs are done, no?When you say rear wing - do you mean rear 3/4 or the spoiler? Assuming it to be a rear 3/4 in line with the front wing and stonechip I assume you mean the plastic underbody guards?
Any suspension damage?
Will it devalue the car - yes probably on the open market and certainly so in the future if for "investment" potential (if that matters), if the damage is what I think since the 3/4 is a structural panel that doesn't just bolt on and bolt off (you say it needed removing so I'm thinking worst case).
Personally I wouldn't be happy, and I am sure you are not, to have it back IF it is as I think it is.
If the damage is just superficial and requires a respray on the side of the car it's not so bad however the job needs to be done well with quality materials.

No suspension damage just some rework required around the rear of the wing (which pops up its a 991) blending to the light cluster. I don't know what happened but it looks like somebody tried to make it look better before it got back to me, so now there are ripples and hammer marks. My concern is more about the quality of the repair 6months later, ive had this in the past where the paint has 'settled' and then you start to see filler and marks under the paint. Im still in disbelief about it. I really don't want all this going forward.Any suspension damage?

I feel for you ! But accidents do happen and I am sure that the OPC driver was not doing anything stupid - it would not be worth the risk of losing their job - and they are driving all sorts of Porsche machinery every day so very little chance of them trying to find out “ what she’ll do” !! All you can do is insist the repair work is carried out by their official body shop and ensure that it is to your satisfaction. My - thankfully very limited - experience of Porsche Approved body shops is that they are very good.
Sorry to hear this.
It’s not the first time and won’t be the last time, I’m aware of an employee totally writing off new Aston Vanquish a number of years back and once saw a customer car hanging off a two post ramp, only thing stopping if landing on the floor was the ramp arm witch somehow went through the passenger door!
You’re in a very difficult situation, I would be asking them to buy the car off you at market rate or ask them to give you a very strong Px offer a new car from them.

Ah ok much less worse than I was thinking. With it by the sounds being OPC you will get a decent repair with a warranty period.Edited by kenofkens on Wednesday 17th May 18:02

The bodywork you had in the past may have been a bad job. I have also had bad bodywork and it does make you think all repairs will be of the same standard, however I am pleased to report that there are outfits out there who can do proper repairs rather than filler and paint.
If you think you might be unhappy with the results and can justify changing the car explore whether they will buy it at market rate. That is the least they can do if you're truly not happy and not happy with the potential of having a repaired car as your pride and joy.
