Phwoar!

Looks slightly surreal to see something like a GT1 on an old-style circuit like Goodwood.

Has a really cool event. Was a special guest of one of our resident GT legends lol, and I really appreciate the invitation.

Amazing to be able to get so close to actual racing history, and see the cars in action.

Is this the car that you’d just painted silver at Donington track day the year before last?

(And I nearly outbreaked myself following into the chicanes after we both overtaken a car we’d got held up by through the previous corner.)

ETA Remember kids; never follow a race car on slick in a road car! GT2 was gone on next straight too.

Not bad position you got there; first car behind the GT1’s.

Was the car in front of you supposed to be smoking that much?

It has just had a full re-build , and maybe overfilled ? Was driven by Emmanuel Pirro so him and Tom Christensen were playing games , Slowing down to let the pace get further ahead and then having drag races to catch up ...but great fun ...It will be racing at Spa in a few weeks with Sam Hancock . There will be a full grid of 63 cars racing into the night , epic . Yes Porsche asked for me to be on front row or more my car lol

Anything positive to add?

Stunning machines, I was at Le Mans '98 to witness Porsches great victory. Top livery too.

We went in my brand new Boxster complete with fried egg headlights..

As far as GT1’s go, when you see several different iterations lined up together (I saw 3 at Porsche Museum a few years back) I find it very tricky to pick a favourite. Stunning machines.

You missed my point, I was being sarcastic. If you checked my profile you would see I have a 996.

As you say this is a stunning machine yet people fixate on 986/996 headlights, which I find rather odd. I love them.
