Hi All,

I’m a long time lurker on here and find this forum very helpful thanks. I do like the odd trackday but have upset the noise limits with my standard GT3 exhaust, at a couple of venues so I’m thinking about these options just in case they’re needed.

https://uber9s.com/product/997-991-gt3-manthey-sty...
https://uber9s.com/product/gt3-bolt-on-trackday-si...

Does anyone have experience of these, similar or can recommend any other options? The JZM ones may be a bit out of my price range for the occasional trackday option. I know they’re not guaranteed to reduce DB but I am also wondering how much these may restrict performance or increase back pressure. And is it relatively trouble free to swap exhaust tips?

Thanks in advance.

The JCR ones work - I have a GT4 with over axle pipes, 200CEL cats into a GT3 RS exhaust. MSA has measured static at 98dB vs 107dB with striaght out tips and I did not trigger drive-bys at Oulton.

The second ones look like a stainless version of the JCRs so should give you some confidence if you don't get any feedback.

I appreciate that I only have a 3.8 ordinary engine !

I usually avoid the problem by driving slowly at Silverstone and Spa!

I have a set of down turns made by Fearnsports at Silverstone that are for sale. The are cut at 45 degrees so not pointed straight down. I had a 991.2 GT3 that had a Sharkwerks bypass fitted. I got booted from Snetterton then Silverstone for noise. After fitting the downturns I ran at Snetterton all day with no issues. Only used them twice before selling the car last year. PM if you're interested. I am out the UK until around the 26th March so could do something just after that .

They won't create more back pressure or restrict the engine to any measurable degree. Both effectively point the noise to the ground & that's an effective way to reduce particularly driveby noice. Fitting is 3 x 13mm nuts, remove original & fit either one of these. 5 minutes if exhaust cold, a bit longer if hot! smile

I bought the uber9s bolt on tips (£450 ish from memory)
For my 991.1RS. Worked very well although very heavy in comparison with the JCR system.
Shaved 5db off as a guesstimate and effectively more with the down turned flow of the tips.
A third of the price of the JCR tit tips so A1 if you’re on a budget. 3 tracks revisited with no fails on noise.
Very easy to change over- 5 mins with a fag break mid job.

I have a set of these. Cost me less than £300 incl delivery - not sure how much they would be now, as was a special offer.

Not tried yet, but nicely made

I successfully used the ones in the second link on my 997 GT3. Had to stop the exhaust valve opening with the rubber bung trick for the static test as well though.
