Hi all, I’m currently considering lowering my 991.2 GTS which comes with PASM (not SPASM which I believe is 10mm lower). The large gap between the wheel and rear wheel arch is starting to grate on me.

I’m just doing it for aesthetic reasons and don’t want to adversely impact the ride too much (I accept there will be a compromise).

I appreciate there are a lot of lowering options with good reviews but I’m currently thinking of going for the litchfield kw adjustable spring set up and wanted to get some views on this.

I think they typically drop the back by 20mm and the front by 30mm on pasm cars (which equates to a 10 and 20mm drop on spasm). I think a gt3 is c26mm drop compared to pasm, so I’m a bit worried dropping the front by 30mm as it might cause an issue with speed bumps and I don’t want the “slammed” look.

I’m currently thinking of dropping the front and back by 20mm but would appreciate any advice and feedback on the litchfield springs (they seem to get good reviews from what I’ve seen). I think a 20mm drop (10mm lower than spasm) shouldn’t cause an issue with most speed bumps but any practical experience on this would also be helpful.

Many thanks !

Harry

I guess if you went for KW adjustable springs then you’d have a plan B

Yeah that’s very true although trying to save myself a trip back and assume you would have to get the geo done again

Litchfield did the KW HAS kit on my former 991.1 Turbo S. Rode very similar to factory and I did 15,000 miles and four euro trips without any problem.

Just a quick “are you sure” check. I too have a 991.2 GTS with pasm-not-spasm, and when I bought the car, I suspected it was the right move given the “north face of the Eiger” state of roads around me and the road acne of speed bumps everywhere.

Experience has suggested I made the right choice - I think I’d be selling if I’d bought something on spasm.

Of course, your circumstances, usage model, and local roads my be different to mine, so take with appropriate pinch of salt (or indeed the whole mine).

Thanks - do you remember how much you dropped it by?

Thanks - roads aren’t too bad around me but the big gap is just starting to grate on me a little (otherwise really enjoying the car and still love the looks)

These will drop your car by -15 front and -10 back, assuming you’re already on -10mm. It wouldn’t be as noticeable immediately as they will settle over the next few 000 miles.
