Protection For Seat Side Bolster

I accept it’s because I’m old, fat & inflexible, but the side bolster to the drivers seat, which is light grey leather, is suffering, it’s grazed & colour is being scuffed away. I had it treated once, but it lasted about 2 months, which is about 10 drives max.

Anyone got any suggestions, I thought of helicopter tape, but concerned it might damage the leather. But in time the leather is bound to suffer irreparable harm.

Losing weight, becoming younger or more supple had occurred to me, but are last resort.
