991.2 GTS Powerkit?
Discussion
I just read a comment from a guy in another forum who’d bought a car in Germany which was a cancelled US order & apparently had a factory powerkit option.
Anyone heard of such a thing? I’m aware of powerkits for bringing an S up to GTS spec, and the old X51(?) for the Turbo before there was an S, but not heard of a GTS powerkit and can’t seem to find anything via Google.

That was my thought as well, but with it being a US spec who knows? He did say he’d had it dynod at that level. Which of course proves nothing, could have been aftermarket tuned of course before he got it.
It’s not uncommon for turbo’d Porsches to produce a little more on dyno than the claimed figure. This difference means that some of the bumps in power after tuning aren’t quite as dramatic as claimed, although still impressive. At Litchfield motors they were talking around 10-15 bhp more, so not 40.
Maybe the chaps who did the dyno run were a bit off with how they calculated engine power. They’re measuring at the wheel and then calculating. 911s probably have lower transmission losses than other manufacturers and so they could have overestimated engine power. Just a thought, but this is one possibility.
