996 Wiper noise

On a recent trip to Germany I discovered the windscreen wipers on my 996 4S start to howl the moment I hit 135mph. This woke up the missus who didn’t want to see how fast we could go… dammit!

I’m pretty sure it’s the wiper arms and not the rubber that generate the noise. Has anyone else experienced this? Any possible fixes? Thx.

Not sure why you'd want to travel at those speeds in the rain in case of aquaplanaing etc. I also find the wipers on my 996C4S poor and noisy so i keep my screen topped up with rainX, so at speed you don't need them. It possibly helps that I'm a seasoned biker, so used to looking through a wet visor.Having the wipers off and just rainX doing its thing is my preference and is also effective.
