Hi All,
I understand there have been 2 cars in the UK that have already purchased conversion kits from Elfer Motors.
Anyone know one of the owners? I am looking to do this ASAP.
Thanks
It's a very cool thing to do! https://elfermotors.de/porsche-991-gt3-touring-nac...I understand there have been 2 cars in the UK that have already purchased conversion kits from Elfer Motors.

I know where one of them - at least - has been converted.
PM me if you like. The specialist is converting 4 - at least - 991.2's to touring from winged, and one of those 4 is having the rear seats added.

I recently inquired to convert a 991.2 carrera T from 2 to 4 seats (like i did with a previously owned 996 gt3 mk2) and was told impossible. Missing seat hold pins etc. Plus obviously they are 2 seaters on V5.
Porsche Center said firm no, JZM said no and one other specialist who had 2 Carrera T for works, 1 with 2 seats and 1 with 4 seats also said no.
Looking at the German link, it looks possible but suspect very involved job and suspect very expensive too.

People quote V5 and Insurance as restrictions, but these are not an obstacle, work just needs to be done correctly and those parties notified.
The bigger considerations are cost and practicality.
OPC will always say no - they won’t even repair a minor tyre puncture, or fit seat frame recliners - but I’m sure someone somewhere will have the expertise to do it, and to a standard that doesn’t devalue the vehicle.

I will admit to being a bit confused , reading this post you have all bought a 2 seater vehicle but have now decided you need 4 seats , umm didnt you just buy the wrong car and now want to hack it about in the face of everyone except some bloke in a shed saying no
Can you please recommend a new car with 6 speed transmission paired to a 9k rpm, NA, 500hp plus engine that has 4 seats? Now that has been settled, it is not complicated to add back rear seats. Elfer sells the kit for 3k Euroes.

Settled ? , If Porsche thought that was a good idea wouldn't they just make one ? really dont understand why you would do this Now that has been settled, it is not complicated to add back rear seats. Elfer sells the kit for 3k Euroes.

My usage of the car goes up 3X if I can fit my boys in the back. So if it's £10k to achieve that, it's worth it.
Porsche don't offer rear seats because they already sell as many gt3s as they can make. Why invest more in R&D and crash tests etc?

When you get one you will
It turns a great car into a more practical one - when needed.

Hi would you mind sharing who the insurer or underwriter is?
NFU added my 2GT3 rear seat conversion described as "Added bucket seats" and charged me £260, I gave full details of TUV approved kit and included pictures so am pretty confident I'm well enough covered.

Can you retrofit rear ISOFIX in the 992 GT3?
