Hi guys,

On the Range Rover Sports and some other cars. If you pull up then turn the car off, the transmission goes to Park and the Park brake applies automatically. How does the 992 operate, the same or do you have to press Park, the operate the brake before switching off?

Hi,

That's good, what about the park brake (hand brake)?

Unlike RR/LR etc you'll need to toggle the parking brake on if you want it on. You don't however need to toggle it off as long as the car is not on a slope and the ignition is on/you are in drive and wanting to move.

If you are parking after a wet drive on possibly salty roads (or in frosty weather) you do not want the park (hand) brake on for risk of pads sticking to the disk. Never use mine unless on a slope. Nice to have the choice for this reason.
