First post in a long while, hope you can help

I’m considering a 997.2 c4s manual in the UK that is completely standard i.e. no options whatsoever on top of what comes with a UK car and was wondering if that would be something I should worry about?

I can live without pse and I believe as a 4s it should have pasm as standard - I’ve seen the shock icon button on a picture also.

Don’t need chrono as it’s a manual I’m assuming.

Anything else I should be wary about?

I have a 997.2 C2S manual and it does have sport chrono and PSE (ive unplugged it - valves open all the time smile).

The sport chrono does sharpen the throttle response so I do enjoy that.

The PSE is class and I defo could not do without the extra noise......I suppose you could fit an after market exhaust if you wish?

IMO I would not like it if those 2 options were taken away from my car but if you have not had them in the first place and you are happy with the car would you miss them???

Only you can decide.

ok thanks pal, good insight

Yeah I've read the DFI engines don't sound as good as the 997.1 so I can see myself wanting to do something about that

If it helps both PSE and sports chronological (minus the lap timer) are retrofittable

I’ve got a gen 2 manual 2S with very little in the way of options - non sun roof, aero kit, and not a lot else really.

Has a cross over pipe and Ohlins dampers, I’m probably going to fit a top gear valved exhaust in the new year.

I wanted hardback seats, chrono, PSE etc - but I love my car and don’t feel I miss the options!

If it’s the right mileage and condition why wouldn’t you - any 2 or 4S manual that’s in good condition can’t be a bad buy can it? There’s not a glut of them to pick from!
