Wait time on delivery of a newly ordered 992 GT3
Discussion
Yes absolutely.
If you can get a new car quickly, it’ll probably represent good value compared to the inflated used prices. This is paradoxical when compared to the normal situation, but so is the perception of new cars.
New used to mean better, whereas now many are not so sure. New cars are increasing having to conform to regulations and older cars can now easily be retrofitted with modern ‘infotainment’ etc.
Who knows where the real value lies?
Personally, I’m becoming increasingly less excited by new models. One exception would be the new Lotus that’s just been launched. The V6 manual has peaked my interest a little.

6 months for a PTS Porsche GT3 or not isn’t unusual, my wife’s Boxster which was PTS was seven months I think and that was pre Covid and chip shortages. Mate of mine works for a big UK electronics retailer….on buying side dealing with the likes of Samsung and Apple. Last I spoke to him they were getting no indication of things improving until well into next year so Q3 ‘22 sounds realistic.
