Does anyone know when this 992 GT3 is going to get released?
I was getting excited last month when they released some pictures of it, but this month I am not as excited.
If Porsche leave it any longer I think they will have missed the wave of momentum they created.
Also, does anyone know if Porsche have an annual price increase and if so how much is that likely to be and when is it applied?

If you had an allocation for one of these I'm assuming that you would already have been told all this info by your dealer.
If you haven't got an allocation already then your chances of getting one are pretty non existent unless you want to pay a massive premium to Romans, Tom Hartley of the other usual sources who will no doubt get their hands on some early cars.

NO Allocations would of been rolled out yet, crikey the car has not been released! ONLY when they release the car to the world will OPC get their exact amount of allocations.
They 'may' already know roughly what they will get from their current clients wants and needs.
I would say 300 PDK 300 manual for first batch.

Its going to reassuringly expensive. I picked up a 991.2 GT3 from PRG pre Christmas and was told its a big jump up in cost. They know how many they are getting but quite rightly not letting on. Maybe to the VIP's. I spend a fair amount with Motorsport division on a couple of race cars and they didn't open up to me.
No idea what cost but I guess 170 optioned up. Lets see if the flippers have the balls to take this on.

Sorry. But as i have said before in other posts, there is NO WAY an optioned GT3 will be 170k. That would put it as the same as my just part exchanged 992 TurboS! No idea what cost but I guess 170 optioned up. Lets see if the flippers have the balls to take this on.

We’ve heard similar reported via German forums of it being a lot more than the current car....if you’re going to test pricing a GT car is the one to do it on. Relatively low numbers, massive demand. Personally I’d welcome a higher price and a more sensible second hand market and thus demand for allocations. Ferrari have pushed the “buy loads of normal cars to get a special one” business model too far and now have a lot of disgruntled customers...I think Porsche are probably aware that long term a more balanced supply/demand is better for business.

We can only hope!I never quite understood the limited numbers issue? Surely selling a lot more cars outweighs the profits made on a limited amount of flipped models! There is obviously demand. Surely OPC’s profits trying to have a privileged bunch of buyers (i mean flippers) is not that great if they could sell a damn site more cars, more profit, more servicing profits, etc....
It may also help with the current discontent felt amongst many long term porsche owners.

Personally i hope that there will be a big jump in list price for two reasons. The first is it'll hopefully scare off the greedy habitual flippers which will allow all 992GT3s to be allocated to genuine enthusiasts in the first place. The second more personal reason is it'll further reinforce my decision to keep my RS WP and not be tempted to upgrade just for the sake of it.!
They did the same with the rare Speedster which has resulted in quite a few sitting unsold at dealers for over a year with only £20-25K 'overs'. The much more common 992GT3 if priced at £150K will quell flipping IMO.

Not enough capacity to make several GT models at the same time. Hence they do a "batch" of one GT model and then move on to the next one . But they can make more and more of each batch and have been doing so lately as they know they will sell,it is a business after all. I never quite understood the limited numbers issue? The question is what is the magic number before the target market says sorry too expensive / too many. Signs of that happening with 718 GT4 as they sold for overs for a very short time and you dipped below £80k as well on the odd car.
Add in current financial / pandemic / brexit situations and some potential GT buyers will be winners and some be losers and will spend accordingly.
I would love to have a GT2 in the garage but the way that Porsche only allow the "special people" to buy them. then that's never going to happen

I agree, but unfortunately we have a group of 3rd class passengers willing to support the Porsche networks by buying into the ‘overs’ bullst. Yes these cars are ‘special’ but they are not LeFerrari or Buggati special, its only the likes of forums like this and those members who insist their deviated stitching preferences are the best cars and only ones worth buying who are forcing people to believe the Hype.
I’ll never fall into the overs buyer category! Because i dont believe i should pay some tossers greasy palm money over the list price for a second hand car which isnt any better than my TTS, its just ‘different’ (popcorn at the ready)

Difference between the GT4 and GT3 is that the GT4 being a Cayman has a max price cap whereas the GT3 being a 911 is far less price sensitive.The question is what is the magic number before the target market says sorry too expensive / too many. That said reckon on mid £150ks otr for a nicely specced new 992 GT3 CS as previously confirmed. No way imo in the current climate will the basic car be £45k more expensive than the 991.2 GT3 even accounting for the extra tech suspension wizardry and cf etc.

If memory serves they were circa 115k. a decent specced one was anywhere between 125 and 135, the difference largely being on deviated stitching and being convinced you need ceramic brakes on a road car.Thanks
