Hi there.

My Neighbour is moving back to Germany in July and will have his well kept 911 up for sale over the next month or two. He’s looking for about 23k for it. Now I’m a bit of an Alfa fan and having just sold my beloved V6 GT I currently drive a Giulia Veloce petrol which is only a year old. It’s a great car all round. I do about 8-9k a year mostly weekends and daily stTion commute. The only thing the Giulia lacks is a bit of drama the GT gave me with that Busso when you plant the right foot down. It didn’t occur to me that my neighbour’s 911 might be an option until this weekend when we were talking about it and a forthcoming Scottish run I have in the Giulia to Skye. I have no insight into 911s so advice as a petrolhead needed! Would chopping in the newish Giulia in favour of a slightly older school manual car like this be a good move? Are they good value and fun? My wife has the family bus a CRV which does the job. Weirdly she likes the idea. If I went for it I’d need to put the golf clubs in the back seat... smile

Thoughts appreciated!

Cheers,

Iain

Sounds a good deal to me at that price. What engine & spec is it?

I think it’s the standard 3.6 with 325hp. Dark grey metallic.

I'd ask him for the option codes from the service book & see what it's got fitted then go from there.
Still sounds ok to me. If you don't buy it, let me know.

Ok will do. Should I worry about warranty etc with these 997s? I see a fair bit mentioned on the forum on this or are the 2007 cars onwards ok?

Thanks,

Iain

Coming from a man who runs Alfa's? I think you'll be fine, just get a good Indy to look after it

Post the spec up. Carrera fairly unpopular vs Carrera S but a decent spec can bridge the gap a bit
