Hi all,

I want to upgrade the sound system in my 991.1 GT3 as I find I use it more of a GT car than a track monster. I opted for the updated system when I optioned the car (Bose was not available) but it still sounds weak. Wondering if anyone has done anything similar and has any advice?

Cheers,

Andy

I'd go with Apropovic but other choices are available

I have no doubt they know their stuff but their quotes are extremely vague and are very expensive. I kinda got the feeling that they are used to selling to people who are happy to effectively write a blank cheque.

I would without hesitation recommend audiofile incar in heartfordshire, I spent a similar amount to what auto audio quoted (5k) but got a full bespoke build. Speak to Gary, he’s very passionate about what they do and provided great service. I got the best car stereo I’ve ever heard by some margin.

Another vote for Audiofile Incar, I used them years ago for an audio upgrade on my X5 and then again for an upgrade on my 997. They do excellent work.

Would be great to see some pics of your setup......with some detail of works involved - example - did they add sound deadening, if so how much and where?
