They suited this 993 RS perfectly.....I think I need a set for my 996 GT3.

Anyone selling a set? Gold centres please biggrin

Edited....apparently they're E88's. Love them!

Thanks for the info thumbup

And yes, they really are - especially on the more classic 911.

E88's :

LM's :

The E88's are considerably lighter than the LM's (the LM's are a road wheel, the E88's are really a competition wheel, and thus the rim sections aren't laquered/protected from the elements)

I was looking at that pic on another recent 6GT3 thread. They look just right.

Correct.

But also bear in mind that the E88 are a 3-piece wheel and the LM a 2-piece wheel. It just means that the LM is fairly easy to work with, refurb, etc. The E88 will need careful sealing and not everyone wants to work with them.

The weight difference is not something material for me....though I would like a set of E88s at some point smile

...and a gold pic: smile

Think your profile pic motivated me to go same way smile

Had a set of E88’s with 888s on my old 993 RS for track use and they weren’t a practical choice for the roads - struggled to get anyone to refurb them too as one of the wheels got quite leaky. LM’s are a more sensible option. Both look fantastic on a GT3.

Both look good, but aesthetically, the E88 edges it, purely because of the curve on the face of the spokes. Very tasty indeed.

It’s only after seeing the E88’s on a car in the flesh yesterday that I’ve wanted a set - photographs don’t do them justice. I was more than happy with the standard wheels!

Agreed. They really are a thing of beauty, although I am perhaps too idle to want to have to wash them.

I had a very nice set of OZ split rims on my first TVR and they were an utter pig to clean.
