Cabiolet Hood maintenance

Hello.
I've just bought a 991.1 GTS Cab which I'm absolutely loving, having traded in my 991.4S. Subtle differences but altogether amount to a very different car. Anyway, having not owned a cab before I'm wondering about how to look after the hood - anything to avoid cleaning with, water-proofing, general maintenance.
Would really appreciate some tips.
