I took the car for a spin yesterday, everything was working fine. This morning, I went to go back out to find the stereo isn't working.

I've checked that the sound isn't muted - by pressing the left (volume) control on/off. It's like the volume has been turned down and is stuck there. When I try to increase the volume, the volume indicator comes up at the top of the screen (showing no volume) but the sound or display doesn't increase beyond that. What am I missing, anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

I tried both iPod and DAB/FM.

The fact that the volume display on the screen doesn't increase with the dial probably means a trip back to the dealer?

I had a Cayman on loan last week, the stereo would go on and off of its own accord.

I had a similar problem on my 991.1 Carrera, the PCM slowly gave up. Porsche replaced it under warranty.

I have the same on my 2017 GTS. Radio keeps changing station (mostly to trash) of its own accord. I'm beginning to think it happens only when the interior of the car is damp and when windows are steamed up and so often in the first few minutes running on a cold damp morning. I'm wondering if the touchscreen is oversensitive and fooled by a bit of moisture in the air.

Same happened on my 2017 GTS - nothing to do with moisture, just faulty.

Dealer replaced my whole unit under warranty. Give yours a ring, they'll get it fixed.
