Porsche Insurance Due
Discussion
you want something that will replace the 997 GT3 with a 997 GT3 of identical spec if it falls into a localised blackhole at the end of your drive/estate/grounds/small holding/large holding
like for like is tricky with specialist cars, so you often need a V. Good Insurer
I use AXA year after year, but I don't have a rare one like you.
Chubb Masterpiece seem good, and their competitors

I've just had a sensible quote from Manning. Not much cheaper than Admiral TBH but does include repairs at Porsche dealer / specialist of your choice, a level of trackday cover thrown in (albeit with high excess), and all the Legal cover that the high street ones add on when you go to purchase. Also, the person on the end of the phone actually seemed interested in supplying a decent service!

Ive been with Henderson & Taylor for the last 2 years as their quotes have been far better than most and decent spec policies
For the Macan ive just renewed wirh A-Plan as H&T only do sports cars and aplan provide a very competitive quote.
Thank you for your help. For the Macan ive just renewed wirh A-Plan as H&T only do sports cars and aplan provide a very competitive quote.
A present my A-Plan renewal quotations are £959.00 for the GT3 and £767.17 for the GTS....
Insurance industry is a complete lottery. Tried to add my 997 to my multi car policy but they wanted £660. Go compare best quote was £440 but that was using my 4 years ncd which is currently on another Vehicle.
Now got a quote from 1 of the insurance companies listed on here for £490 with zero no claims.
Work that out.

Try NFU. Hard to beat imo.
^^^ as av185 says NFU, they are human beings who are local and in my dealings with them I find they are a level above anyone I’ve used previously. Fortunately I’ve not had to make a claim but I would expect them to be excellent to deal with.I have used Locktons but they don’t want to look after Macan’s/Cayenne’s etc. so I moved all our cars to NFU and added the company vehicles onto the policy.

I use NFU for my house, never thought to insure my cars with them, will look at them next time I'm renewing, I use Adrian Flux.I have used Locktons but they don’t want to look after Macan’s/Cayenne’s etc. so I moved all our cars to NFU and added the company vehicles onto the policy.
I have found NFU to be very expensive, had a quote for over £1k for an audi S4 when Admiral were half that. It is good you can talk to real people in a local office but for claims you end up in call centre with very little to diferentiate from other insurers.
From a home insurance view I would rather be with them but again substantially more expensive.

I've got both my 997.2 GT3 & 993 GT2 rep with Classicline. Very reasonable premiums with a very generous agreed value on both & no requirement for a tracker (unlike Mannings, which I am still with on the 996 GT3 purely for the track cover). You get Europe-wide breakdown cover thrown in too, which is nice

I thought Classicline did track cover, albeit not Nordschleife?
