I have the standard exhaust non PSE and obviously I'm wanting to change it as I think it feels a bit tame.
Does anyone have any good knowledge of which system is generally recommended to produce a nice classic Porsche sound? I know PSE is available from my dealers but I'm looking for a better price and probably better sounding alternative as I've heard on 997.2 people still upgrade from the PSE to include a Sharkwerks kit?

Is that the best option for a non PSE exhaust?

Thanks

I have the PSE on my 997.2 and think its plenty loud enough without being over the top ASBO. I think the biggest problem is that the sound insulation on the car is excellent and you can only really hear the exhaust from the inside with the window down.

Some kind of ‘bypass pipe’ that replaces the third (centre) silencer would be a good start. I have the Sharkwerks version, but there are others. I have it with PSE.

I have the Sharkwerks by-pass pipe on my non-PSE C4S. It added some good noise, subtle but not over the top. Still quieter than the PSE.
