Any thoughts on the C2s at 911 virgin, does anyone know the car... Car looks lovely and is almost my ideal spec, just not sure if the price is a bit high. At 40 i'd be there, 45 seems a bit much heading into winter for a car that isnt mega specced.

Also any thoughts on 911v, quick search on here and I can only find glowing reports so seems like a good place and the guy I spoke to there sounds friendly enough and was very helpful.

Actually just noticed it doesnt have BOSE either, so assume the crappy standard stereo. Hmmm... Had BOSE on both my previous C2S and Boxster S and thought it was a bit pants anyway but is that going to put buyers off in the future...

Never worried about sound system in a 911; the engine usually suffices! Also, there's a fair bit of tyre noise.

911V are a good outfit, I believe. With Porsche warranty you've got plenty of peace-of-mind cover (at a cost....!).

Can't tell you about the price (other than 911V aren't usually Mickey-takers like some dealers); only you know what you're prepared to pay/haggle down to.

I’d expect Bose and PSE would help, but someone else will soon take it I think. A few years ago a manual would be a slow sell, now they can go for more money.

I bought my 2002 996 C2 from 911v back in April and dealt with both Tom and Terry up to and after my purchase, everything I'd heard or read about 911v prior to that point was reiterated in my experience, they answered any questions honestly and thoroughly however daft they probably seemed... As part of the purchase they sent the car off for a major service and had some extra rectification work that they had already identified when they took it into stock which I would probably never spotted needing doing having never owned a 911 before.

The day after I picked it up, the indicator switch starting to stick/not click into the 'on' positions, while I was out in the countryside and stopped for a break I emailed Tom asking about getting it fixed (this was a Sunday morning so didn't expect a reply) within half an hour Tom replied that I should give Terry a ring first thing in the morning and arrange to get the car up to them to have it replaced and that's exactly what happened the following day...

Bought mine from V911last year.

Completely painless, car has been perfect, they don’t deal in poor cars. Good independent dealer IMO.

That one, with mileage in the 30’s is priced about right.

You may get a smidge off the price if they know you’re serious.

If I was buying....I’d be on that now. Prices haven’t moved in the last 12 months.

Nice looking honest C2S that. It's a basic spec but to be honest the C2S doesn't need much dressing up. PSE would be nice and probably worth looking into buying for it. As above - 2 years ago you wouldn't of been able to give that car away. I think it's priced about right - couple of quid off to put towards a PSE might be worth asking. It'll make the money though and I think it'll have SOLD on it by the end of the week.

Bought my 996 from them 2.5 years ago. No complaints whatsoever. Would buy again from them without hesitation.

Price seems about right for a good quality car with good history and a recently porsche approved car. It will probably be as close as you can get to a new, used car. Prices of gen 2's gave stayed firm now for the last couple of years so if this is what you are looking for this seems a safe bet.
911v do things the right way, I've bought twice off them and spoke and dealt with tom on a few occasions. You cant go wrong with them really hence them selling cars quickly and u struggling to find anything negative about them.
Buy it before soneone else does!!

Ah, didn't see that. Looked about as good as they get... and vgvfm. If I didn't already have a car that would of tempted me with it being black and low mileage

I'd say snap it up. All .2 coupes are pushing £40k now so a S in manual on 38k from a good dealer seems £45k all day long

Lots of dealings with Tom from 911Virgin - top outfit, very honest and great service in my experience.

Sold.

Took a trip down on Friday and had a good look at the car. Very nice condition, inside and out. Hardly a mark on it, a little mark on the leather in the back that will be fixed by Tom but otherwise very hard to fault the car.
Drives lovely as well. My old car, which was nicked a few months back was lovely but compared to this felt like a bit of a banger! This ones very tight indeed.
The spec is lower than I would have liked and I'm not a fan of the wheels. But wheels can be changed and there are not many manual gen 2 C2S in this condition and I who needs electric seats and BOSE anyway! Its a sports car ffs!

Have to say I was very impressed with Tom and the 911 Virgin set up. A lovely place, with very well presented cars. There was no hard sell at all and Tom clearly very knows what he is talking about. Spent a good hour or so looking around the car and Tom was very patient with my daft questions.

Hopefully picking up the car on Saturday!! Happy days!

Congratulations! Love the 997.2, problem is, these are beginning to gently appreciate and I use mine as a daily so people keep reminding me that I'm knackering its value with increased miles.
