Thanks cracking watch, the 993 driver was really pedalling his car with a few brown pants moments for his passenger lol

I'm staggered she remained so calm. Either she has total trust in him or didn't know she was a wrist flick from disaster....

I would have been phantom braking and left hand prints in the dash.

Absolute talent. These aircooled Porsches look proper special and rewarding if driven well.

Good watch but titles like 993 v GT4 on YouTube really make me giggle as meaningless because the cars are been driven by different drivers with different levels of experience. Clearly the lad in the 993 knows what he's doing and also very experienced at the ring, while the GT4 doesn't appear to get out of shape once. Would like to see what the 993 driver could do in the GT4 I expect that would be a very quick lap.

Well the red button on the dash was an ABS cut-out --- often used on the Cup cars.

Was the GT4 a Clubsport (race car) or a road going Clubsport ?

The biggest single contributor of outright pace in any car is the driver.

More so in an analogue car but still remains true in a digital car also but to a lesser extent.

Now that is some driving!
Seems he is local to me, never seen the car tough.

The car is 150kg lighter, not 50kg like the narrator states.
He claims to have "cooper brakes", never heard of them before, does anybody now them?
Don't think he means brakes off a Mini Cooper, does he?

Shows again that the best £1'000 spent to make you go faster on a track are driving lessons!!

Is it really a good idea to change gear in the middle of a corner when on the ragged edge, or to clout the rumble strips so often?

Looked pretty wild, to me.

The RS should have moved over very early on - frustrating to watch - even more so to drive behind I would imagine - I guess this is the problem with the BHP arms race - worse drivers keep in front on the straights , are caught up on the bends and then gain some distance once on the straight again. Whenever, I'm on track (which isn't very often) in a "faster" car I really do my best not to do this and let the better driver past as soon as I can :unfortunately I slow down and get overtaken a lot frown

Great driving - but any one of those 'moments' would have me backing off and thanking my lucky stars.

I particularly liked the oversteer across the rumble strips with one hand on the gearlever at around 1:14.

Not sure about the quality of the driving to be honest. A number of moves were a bit dubious for a non race day and he only stayed close to the Cayman as that driver was more courteous to other road users.

If my eyes don't betray me the car has Swiss a numberplate - not a local then.

The rumble strip at Brunnchen is used by any quick driver as part of the race track. Otherwise it's impossible to get quickly out of the righthander into that section. Also the rumble strip exiting Brunnchen is used often. He touched some curbs thought that I'd rather leave alone as they don't make your lap faster and put unnecessary stress on the car
