Having spent an age thinking about my options for suspension replacement I've decided I'm going to keep the car OE and replace the suspension with the M030 upgrade kit. My local Porsche centre aren't entirely sure they've found the correct kit as they have two on the system with next to no description beyond how far the car is lowered. One kit drops it 30mm and the other 10mm. I've no idea what the first kit must be as the second sounds more like what I'd expected (I had 15mm in mind). Can anyone confirm?
ETA: I suspect this may be the -10mm kit. Is this the same as the M030 kit? http://www.design911.co.uk/fu/prod133226/Original-...
Second request, and probably a long shot, but does anyone happen to have the M030 kit part number applicable for a 2002 Carrera 4? I've been on Google but can't find anything particularly conclusive. Mostly US forums debating US vs RoW part numbers.

With regard to the part number, the M030 kit has slightly different dampers for the 3.4 and 3.6 cars and also has different springs depending on the body type and gearbox type. In reality there is probably very little between them.
I had this kit fitted to my 996 a few years ago to replace the tired original standard suspension.

Let me see if one of my PH mates can assist if I prompt him...he had an MO30 kit fitted last year on his 2002 Targa (yes I know it's a Targa and not a Coupe) though he's fastidious in keeping the paperwork and our local OPC where he sourced it from are on the ball and the cost at the time was very competitive. The MO30 he had was for a standard 911 BTW.
Thanks all. It sounds like they've found M030 and X74 kits then. It appears the X74 kit takes a Carrera down to roughly GT3 ride height? Think l stick with the M030 much as that's tempting.
I totally understand those who would opt for something more modern. It's the same thought I've had rolling round my head for months. I've gone from Ohlins R&T all the way back to M030 and back again several times. Ultimately I decided I'd like to keep things OE rather than go aftermarket as it'll be a little easier on the insurance side and I definitely won't have to guess at any mix n'match combo of parts of end up lowering the car further than I'd want to.

It seems the X74 kit, for my car at least, is NLA so M030 it is. I'm waiting on an emailed quote from my local Porsche centre including Porsche Club GB discount, but the undiscounted prices are:
- M030 kit £1,129.86 inc VAT
- Front top mount £272.94 inc VAT (two required)
- Rear top mount £140.96 inc VAT (two required)
Total £1,957.66 inc VAT
I think the discount will be 10% so it should be c.£1,760. On top of that I'll replace other bits and pieces like nuts & bolts, bushes, etc.

Not sure that's correct, I thought 73/74 was coupe/cab or vice versa and I thought both 7x were 30mm? I fitted , or rather had fitted the m030 kit to my old c2. It made a massive difference to the car and at the time it was heavily subsidised and cost about 600 quid. I think the 7x kits are horrendously expensive in comparison.X73 - 20mm
