Just looking at that, gorgeous car but its got comfort seats .....I don't mind comfort seats myself
As a side note, how does the warranty work on these when sold outside the official network? Do you still get the 4 years?
I could live with the seats.. considering it's a 2015 plate with ceramics and nose lift plus full leather! Great price Sure it will sell very quick

Never considered Agate Grey but it looks stunning on this car

I presume it's not a C16 car, but C98.
What's the difference between the two? Do you think it will have the latest spec enginewazy1984 said:

What's the difference between the two? Do you think it will have the latest spec engineSo whilst it's at least £10k less than an OPC or C16 UK car I don't think it's cheap...an equivalent C16 car bought from an OPC would have a two year warranty on it which on these cars with the engine history is worth a lot IMHO....there are plenty of people on here who have said they'd never run one of these out of warranty.
It'll always be worth a minimum of £10k less than a UK car and much, much harder to sell in the future. So yes you'll have an extra £10k in your pocket the day you bought it bt my guess is it'll be a more expensive ownership experience. Even a minor warranty claim on a car like this is a for figure bill.
I think it needs to be at least £20k less than a fully warranted UK car. That said if I am wrong and yo could get an OPC warranty on it then it's decent value.

Not quite. C98 is Cyprus specification and C16 is UK specification. But it has nothing to do with the country in which it was bought
(I bought a C16 car in Germany)
Pretty much what I was implying, maybe didnt come out as clear in my reply! In all honesty its great value, but would I buy it? Maybe not. You wouldn't want to have difficulty shifting it in the future.(I bought a C16 car in Germany)

All very interesting... so does anybody know how much the Cyprus spec differs from uk?
I bought an a 996 GT3 RS originally supplied to Cyprus. Zero difference in spec.
just found this.....I bought an a 996 GT3 RS originally supplied to Cyprus. Zero difference in spec.
C98 is the factory code for "non-specific country" right hand drive, most cars into the Uk seem to have come via Cyprus, I think a company called "specialist cars of Milton keynes & London " (now defunct) used to import lots of these (via Cyprus) & sell them on short delivery times when OPC's were saying 1 year +!!!
The problem is although they are still "proper" factory built right hand drive cars, Porsche GB are very awkward about revealing EXACTLY how the specification compares to the full C16 Uk spec......for example the car will NOT have had a thatcham Cat 1 approved alarm fitted when first imported, although this may have been upgraded since it has been here. The car also has to be declared to an insurance company as an import. Things like top tint, full leather, airconditioning etc are NOT part of the standard C98 spec. & have to be specified as extra's on order, these items are all standard on a C16 car.
This is where the problem lies, you never know if a C98 has all the right goodies on. Aside from the extras above there could be other variances to C16 cars, for example has it got the full Uk spec underseal etc etc ? The only way to be sure is to contact Porsche Germany (or friendly OPC) with the full chassis number & get them to supply it's build spec., but they will be awkward & you will only get it with much hard work. Also in general most OPC's will NOT buy C98 cars & the few that will want them very cheap.
If it is a fantastic bargain, get it checked out by an OPC & it may be worth going for , otherwise stick to a UK supplied or C16 import car (still get it tested at the OPC & check out the chassis number with porsche UK warranty department) best of luck.
For what it's worth I wouldn't risk a C98, although there do seem to be quite a few around !

May be wrong, but I think they're referring to Specialist Cars of Malton (that's who'd supplied my C98 car to it's first owner).
Spec differences less of an issue on something such as the 996 GT3 RS, as there weren't many options anyhow, but items such leather trim and sunroof that may be standard on C2/4/Turbo wouldn't have been on the RS.
I'd want to clarify the warranty situation (all the moreso with the Gen 1 991 GT3's engine "history") as that £20-25k saving may not look so enticing if the warranty cover is declined due to the car being an "import".

There is no trouble renewing the extended warranty on a non c16 car as long as the car has been serviced as per usual and passes the OPC warranty check inspection. I have a french 7.2RS that has had the warranty renewed twice by UK OPCs.Edited by isaldiri on Saturday 10th June 04:20

As an aside, As far as I am aware Porsche does not underwrite its extended warranty itself - it is provided by an insurance company - forgot which one and don't have the docs anymore
