Tiptronic won't recognise selector in 'manual'
Discussion
Weird issue with the OH's car - 2003 996 C2 Tip. It's not registering when the gear lever is switched over from 'Drive' to 'Manual'.
All other functions work - P, N, R and D - with no issue, and you can still change gears manually using the steering wheel buttons, but without recognising it's in 'manual' mode it switches back to auto changes after few seconds. There are no error codes, no warning lights, everything else works perfectly.
I've been searching around in vain but can't find anyone referring to similar issues. Any ideas of possible causes? I'm hoping there's just a switch somewhere around the selector that needs a clean up or replace, but thought I'd check here before I start dismantling the OH's car
