991 child seats????
Discussion
Has anyone manage to fit one successfully? I've just put a deposit on a 991 C2S. Thing is I need car seats for my 2.5yr son and 4.5yr old daughter. Both will be sitting in the back. I'm struggling at the moment to find a safe seat that will fit and give them enough room for their feet and legs (I'm just over 6ft so need my seat quite far back.)
We've tried the Britax Romer isofix which fits but doesn't leave much room so couldn't be out for more than 20mins.
The other option in a panamera turbobut I'm fed up of big cars!

Get them to sit cross legged
Trouble with car seats for kids that age is that they tend to move the kids up and forward taking away even more of the legroom. I'm just over 6ft and there's nowhere near enough room for anyone of any age with legs to sit behind me. My 6 year old can with crossed legged but I only tend to travel three up as we have a Cayenne for family duties. 911 works well for me when I have both kids.

I'm lead to believe the seats that are 3.5 years + (group 3 I think) are actually less obtrusive than the previous age group. Whole I'm not as tall as you (I'm only a lowly 5' 10") my 3 year old daughter manages behind me, I just get her to hold her legs up. You could put 1 behind the passenger seat, and one in front and get your Mrs to sit behind you (I recommend doing this anyway as its hilarious watching an adult climbing in the back if a 911). Oh this is in a 996 so you should have more room.

I've had a few 991s, and have 5 yr old sons. Halfords used to sell a narrow child seat, with a removable back so it doubled as a booster seat, and that fits perfectly in the back of the 991. I've tried looking for the link for the same seat, but cant find it unfortunately. I'd suggest going to a John Lewis or Halfords etc, and trying out what they have. We've tried the Britax Romer isofix which fits but doesn't leave much room so couldn't be out for more than 20mins.

Whatever you find, it is still a squeeze in the back....Panamera a much better option if you want to carry your children frequently

You'll find that the 'only' seat that will fit correctly is the Porsche item, I tried EVERY Britax car seat and other makes but came back to the P seat but at £300 it's double of the cost of the others. We've tried the Britax Romer isofix which fits but doesn't leave much room so couldn't be out for more than 20mins.

Yes, thats the exact seat that I have, and like you have a few of them. It has an extendable backrest length, and they are a perfect fit in the 991's rear seat.works great in my 997 (front or back) and my merc sl (again, front or back).

The main problem issue with space behind is because of my height. I think if you are 5'8" or less you will be fine.
My wife is only 5'2" which has helped us in the search so we can at least swap the seats around so our son sits in his bigger chair behind her.
So we have found a few:-
For our daughter 4.5yrs - Maxi cosi rodifix and Cybex Solution.
For our son it's looking like either a Cybex Pallas mfix or a Britax romer - both of these are big and will not fit behind me!
