Evening all, I must admit I've not posted for a while and certainly not in this forum. I have missed driving a decent car as a daily and I think after my test drive the 911 ticks so many boxes.

After an OPC lent me a new C4s coupe for the day, I have put a deposit down on a new C4s coupe and since I specified it, a new Carrera S Powerkit upgrade has gone into the configurator at a cost of £7k. It includes an upgrade to 450hp, sports exhaust, larger turbos, sports crono package. I realise that it has 30 more HP but as I am not not mechanically minded if this option is worth the extra few thousand?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

This! You'd be made to specify the Power Kit on a regular Carrera when you can spend the money on a GTS,

Ha, I thought some of you guys would suggest this, I appreciate your prompt responses.

Funnily enough, I spoke to Mrs Cipo since posting and as I specified the alcantara steering wheel and seat centres (GTS not available to order at the time) it's all beginning to make some sense.

Any reason why the GTS cannot be used as a daily? Would it be a too firmer ride? Looking to do 8k miles per year.

Decisions.......

I can't think of a logical reason why you'd spec a 991.2 S with Powerkit etc in preference to just buying a GTS.
