Oem disks and pads for 997 gts

Any of you guys know what is a reasonable price to pay for front discs and pads fitted at the dealer thanks shaun

I was quoted £1,935 for all corners (discs and pads). After picking myself up, chances are I'll go to a reputable Indy, use the OEM parts and cross fingers if ever a warranty claim.

If you don't track just get brembo discs/pads from Eurocarparts if they sell that or design911. I'm sure that's what Porsche sells. Very easy to install yourself if you wanted.

If you track then Alcon/PFC08.

Be very careful buying discs from euros! Though £2k for all 4 corners does sound expensive! As long as Oem are fitted it does not matter who does it to keep warranty

The concern I've always had is the centre locks, as in removal and re-fit. I'm sure if you've got the equipment/time/set-up to DIY, they're not that bad, but I've got none so reliant on someone else. Luckily I'm near some reputable Indys who would have no issue with the centre locks, and from memory their quote was nearly half the OPC one.

What with the bl**dy health checks though, my OPC have a record of current wear so no doubt would ask why the discs/pads have suddenly developed more life. 10% discount on parts through PCGB at an OPC, but as always, it's the labour that stings.

I bought a pair of 350mm *32mm front discs (Sebro) with OE pads from Euro's last year, £435 inc VAT, + fitting, I think it was less than half of what my OPC quoted me for the same parts.

The same size on a 997/991-GTS I believe..

I managed to get 10 percent of all parts and 40percent of the oil at my service yesterday I must say I was really impressed with the service. I wonder when they say the discs need replacing cos they are below recommended wear if they actually do??? I am going to get a second opinion
