Premature sevice warning 7GTS

The service warning has come up 3 months early on my GTS. Sort of. I bought the car after it had been in the showroom for three months and I think it was serviced before it went in.

My warranty is due at the end of March so I don't really want to take it in at the beginning of January and again three months later.

So what to do?

Do altogether and whilst having the service done get warranty inspection fee waived think it's about £200!

Speak to your opc but tie the 2 together even if you do the inspection and service now and pay for the warranty upfront

Service Schedule/Warranty starts from registration date; whatever the V5 and Service book states is the official birthday of the car is what you should go by. If the car wasn't registered for three months the Maintenance interval should have been reset. PM me your VIN if you want further info.

The car was registered March 11, but services last in December 14. I've sent you an email.

Spoke to my local OPC, who said it doesn't matter when the DOFR was, if the service warning is up I must service it or invalidate the warranty.

They also said I must pay for a 111 point check at renewal of warranty even if the car is being serviced at the same time.

Can anyone confirm the above please?

It is correct to make the charge, however, some OPCs seem happy to waive it as part of a service.

I think I've had it waived before.

Any knowledge around the service date? Pope says it's the car's birthday, the OPC says DOFR. I'd prefer it to be the latter.

The date of the next service is 2 years after the date of the last service (if thats your interval).

When I had my boxster I got it done a month early as I was going on a trip and wanted to be sure things were ok- the next interval came around 2 years after the counter was reset, a month early.

Makes sense really - There is no problem having it done early 21 months - but going for 27months is stretching it a bit...
