Considering the next generation of 911's will share the same platform as Audi R8 and Lambo, it's a good guess the 911 will be more mid engined then.the RSR going mid engine has little to no relevance to any projected road car surely. Walliser has said no waivers actually were required per GTE regs so there's no need for further homologation and the primary reason for doing that was to fit a whopping great big diffuser which has absolutely zero relevance in a road car.
