Good evening guys,

I have been looking for another car to join my M3 EVO cab as a fun, long term and hopefully depreciation proof toy.

Today I went and purchased a c4s cab in seal grey with 27000 miles and paintwork like new.

The car is fantastic and the sound from the pse exhaust is addictive and that is from having some good sounding vehicles in the past. I don't think I have ever heard an exhaust note like it and with the hood down it is beyond perfect in my view.

I believe that in the past the car has been a concourse car for a pistonheads member and I am not going to go that far as it would take a lot to recreate that now but I am happy to drive one of the better examples left.

I drove a newer 997 c2 last weekend and loved the car but the 996 has that typical 90's feel which is what I love about the m3 EVO.

These cars will never make me rich but if I keep them 5-10 years they will hopefully increase enough to pay for the upkeep needed.

Would love to eventually meet up with some more owners so I can learn more about the car.

From the sounds of your username and the cars you mentioned in your post, 3/4 of my garage is the same as yours biggrin

The noise is fantastic with a PSE, can only imagine how awesome it would be with a cabrio!

Well I have attached a few pictures of my current small fleet.

The M3 EVO is actually 1/25 special ordered vehicles by the UK at the end of the model builds with carbon black paint and modena leather, which I have had re-trimmed so looks perfect. Also it only has 65K miles and is in for an inspection 2 service this week and MOT. I might actually look to sell this soon but then I know the price is only going one way and I could even be kicking myself in 12-24 months let alone 5-10 years.
I dont have any decent pictures of the C4S yet but looks nice next to the family wagon, which is actually a great vehicle as well.

The sound from the permanent sports exhaust is out of this world and with the hood down it is something else. The sense of occasion when driving the car is something else and although I have been lucky enough to own some quick cars in the past (E60 M5, Skylines, EVO, Subaru) the C4S has always been on the list as a keeper due to the fact I believe it to be one of the better 911's. I know it has issues, I know its not the fastest by a long shot, but 4wd and that rear end do it for me. Also in cab form they are rare enough to make them interesting.

shoaxter,

Yep looks like we both have perfect taste in cars smile

The only regret is the E60 M5 is now long gone, but my next purchase will probably be one.

I was actually looking at the F10 M5 and had a few deposits down with BMW AUC but found the cars really poor condition considering they are 45K cars. Based on this and being less than impressed with the sales staff I decided to forget about it and went down the C4S route and so glade I did now.

Only issue might be I need to get rid of the M3 as well but really dont want to do that as know I will regret it as they drive great and this one is a really nice example.
