997 on/off for PSE

I've had the switch disabled on my 997's PSE so it's permanently on, as I didn't like the way the system cuts out between 30 and 50 (or whenever).
Does anyone know if it's possible to install a switch so I can turn the thing off for motorway driving if I feel like it, but I still get full noise by default all the way through the rev/speed range?

The Porsche Sports Exhaust (PSE) can be ordered as an option on most models in the range and is equipped with valves which remain closed (normal exhaust sound) until the remote switch on the centre console is operated and then the valves open to give more of a sporty exhaust sound - in other words what they should sound like. Thanks for the responses. Appreciate it.
I'm sure the 997.2 had the quiet range feature as I remember it from driving the car, and also the OPC confirmed it.

jm. PSE = Porsche Sport Exhaust. It's an optional extra that transforms the sound. Not sure what the deal is with Turbos. They have an entirely different set up and sound for obvious reasons so I don't know if there's a Porsche option to add a more tuneful exhaust note. I do know that there are a lot of very good specialists that can help though.

This Carnewal remote switch sounds interesting - £100 to keep the valves open 100% of the time without having to press the button every time you start the car - sounds reasonable.
Have anyone here fitted one ? - it says it takes 10 minutes to fit and is reversible so I assume it just plugs in somewhere. Is that correct ?

That's another option. It makes no sense that the valve closes between 25-40 mph (as seems to be suggested) I'd rather have it working all of the time before deciding whether to go for the Sharkwerk bypass. They say it's a 10 minute DIY job to fit. As you haven't bothered I'm guessing it's not that straightforward.
Thanks. Had a look into this earlier and the other option is just unplug the cable for the PSE and zip tie it out of the way.
Think I'll try that first - although you get the extra noise all of the time it saves you having to press the button and I dont think it's loud enough to be a problem on motorways, etc (for me anyway...)

You can pull the cable and tie it away. That's what I did with my 997.1, and what I think the OPC did with my GTS. However I now want to be able to turn the sound off on occasion, so am after a switch to be able to do that.
Just re-plugging in the cable won't do as the louder setting cuts out between 30 and 50. Plus one has to actively engage the thing every trip, which isn't a big deal, but I'd rather not if I don't have to.
I'd rather have loud on by default through the range, plus a switch to turn it off on motorways and when the wife is complaining that the car isn't practical.
