The gen1 997 with x51 is better than a gen2 GTS!

Ok, I know that there are reliability issues with the first gen 997's, but this can be sorted, and is well documented. So my question is simply which sounds and drives better? Just to be clear, I am not talking about pcm, touch screens, daytime leds etc, just the very important, pure driving experience. And I only want answers from people who have tried both!
