Thoughts please? About to get into the 991 and was genuinely shocked what a brilliant car it was and how I am thinking this is the better way to go than more powerful but older 997 S. Obviously more expensive but not a huge amount more to put me off. Is the 991 the way to go?
A difficult one to answer without knowing you.If it were me I'd go for the 997 Carrera S - but with PDK.
I've owned 997s and 991s but have just gone back to a 997.
Thanks both. I like my analogue style cars (started life in an MGB) and to work for my fun. Tried the manual Carrera and had a big smile on my face pretty much the whole time and really liked the gearbox (which got better when Sport mode switched on too). Went back and tried a 991 S PDK and just didn't have as much fun. More power than I need (I'll just lose my licence as its incredibly quick!) and for some reason spent my whole time in 2nd and 3rd whereas went all round the gears in the manual. Price suits and think I will go for it.
I've just bought a used 991 C2S in guards red with PDK, being delivered tomorrow.
Wasn't too sure about PDK but after reading countless pieces between 7-speed manual and PDK thought I'd try the latter. Had many 996, 997 but this is the first 991. Just adore the shape!
Also looking for a few options for the car, any recommendations for supply and possible fit?
Any meets in the Surrey area?
