997 C4s gen 2 seems to have a issue holding interior temperature, heats up from cold perfectly and then over the course of a journey (30 mins +) the cabin slowly looses temperature to the point where you up the temperature - then heats slightly before same slow loss of heat once more. Running in auto mode with temperature at 23 C. Fan speed also never drops below mid position even when the car is warm, I'm used to fans dropping down once temperature is achieved. Any thoughts and should the fan speed drop from a mid position once temperature is achieved?

Loses.

Probably the cabin temperature sensor is faulty.

That was my suggestion to the dealer but they seem unsure, do you have any thoughts on the fan speed - should it ramp down once the cabin reaches temp or is a mid position as low as it goes in auto mode?

I'd say lower than mid. Let me check how many 'bars' as I'm sure it has some on the display.

Thanks for checking, so 6 bars is as low as the fan speed goes in auto?

It's where it was after about 12 miles with the outside temperature at about 12 degrees. Can't say if it went lower. It's quite a bit below the mid point.

I only run mine with about 4-5 bars showing and maintains temp perfectly.

Not that it might matter to your requirements but do you run yours with the AC on?

I can't get on with auto climate, it seems to be blasting the fan or it's barely on, fluctuates depending on outside temp, if I open up more vents the tem changes, conclusion is that it is a load of crap and I just adjust it myself
